KEY-ute Bracelets for PTP

Throughout this past month, Division 11 focused on interclub activities and events. This is crucial to creating a solid and unified division, and can lead to new friendships between clubs. MDCHS was paired up with Morse Key Club and San Diego Key Club, and the 3 clubs put our heads together to come up with an idea for a fundraiser donating to PTP. We decided on a bracelet fundraiser, with members in every club weaving, selling and delivering bracelets. Word spread quickly via social media, and soon we had non-officer members helping out, something that has been challenging to do during quarantine. It can be hard to stay in contact with members when you can only contact them online, but for this event we were lucky enough to get some volunteers.

All in all, we were able to raise a good amount of money to donate to PTP. We sold several bracelets, and found success in virtual advertising. Although weaving bracelets could become difficult and tedious at times, it was a great opportunity to become closer with 2 of our sister clubs! This event has inspired our club to plan more interclub events in the near future with other D11 clubs, which you may see in upcoming newsletters.
